Update from Robert Francis Eardley--The Yeardley Connection - Addendum
04 May, 2002

For those who  may be new to researching on the web------here are a handful of useful sites  to use for your own investigations  of the Yeardley story  in Colonial Times.
        www.jamestowne.org
        www.geocities.com
        www.apva.org
        www.eagle.vsla.edu/colonial/

Also use Yahoo.com Search Engine.  Type in the 'slot'--Walke Family scrapbook and  find this and many other sites on early Virginia history.  Similarly  type in any other idea or title you may wish to investigate.  For example the 'Vernon family website'------Admiral  Vernon----William  Penn-----Yardley, Pennsylvania------Yardley of London----University of Virginia Historical  Records.
Flowerdew  Hundred -----and  so on.  One site  leads to another.  In a short time  you will  be researching  your own lines of  inquiry.  Apologies to all of you who can already do this.  I am simply trying to assist Eardleys starting out.  Some of you will see that I made a mistake in calling Ralph an Apothecary; just a 'senior moment' I'm afraid -------he was of course  a merchant tailor made free after servitude to Alexander Hickes on 5th February 1573.
